E4: Idea #260

In my last episode (E4), I wrote down this thought:

Idea #260 “Don’t make fun of your past, strong self, by thinking that you can just jump right back into exercising to the same degree as you could before taking a long break. In my case, I took three months off of Apple Fitness, because our 3rd child was born and a regular schedule became… difficult to say the least. Before the three month lapse, I was regularly getting in 30 min HIIT workouts three or four days a week. Now, doing a 10 minute workout takes 10 times the effort!”

To reflect on this idea now, post E4, I think this idea keeps most of its merit!

Between the disruption of a normal schedule with the new baby around, my continuing taper off of olanzapine, and a good old-fashioned head cold, I still have not gotten back into as regular a workout schedule as I had before the baby came along.

I should give myself some credit for how well I was doing physically in my previous routine. It took a lot of hard work to build up to four 30min HIITs per week! I just need to remember to take it slow, and build back better. I did it then, I can do it again, if I am patient and disciplined about it again.

BEFORE MY NEXT EPISODE (post). I am going to do two HIIT workouts in one week. 10 minutes each.

I’ll let you know how it goes. See you next week!
